Add a new user

New users can be added to your organisations Bowtie Master account in two easy steps. The user’s permissions can be customised according to their needs. Ensuring that the diagrams created can only be edited by authorised personnel in your organisation.

Step 1: Head to the User Menu and click on the + USER button

Step 2: Complete the required fields and choose the user’s role from the drop-down menu and click the SAVE button.

  • Viewers can only see published bowtie diagrams. They cannot make any changes.
  • Diagram Metadata Editors can see diagrams and edit the metadata within a diagram (but not within settings). This is typically used for barrier owners. 
  • Diagram Editors can create diagrams and edit all content within a diagram. 
  • Organisation Admins can build, amend and delete bowtie diagrams, as well as change company settings and add new users.
