Build your first bowtie diagram
Building your first bowtie diagram with Bowtie Master is simple! Follow the steps below to get started.
Step 1: Log into the Bowtie Master application via any web browser.
Haven’t received log in details? Send us a message at support@salus-suite.com.
Step 2: Head to the Project Menu and click + PROJECT. Enter a name for your project, then click SAVE.
Step 3: Click on the new project created (displayed in the project list) and then click + CREATE DIAGRAM. Enter a diagram name, then click CREATE.
Step 4: Open the diagram you just made to begin building.
Step 5: Drag and drop elements from the left-hand side of the Diagram Editor into the diagram. Start by placing a Threat on the left side and a Consequence on the right. Begin adding barriers to both sides of the diagram.
Note: You can customise the terminology of each of these elements
Step 6: To edit an element’s content, double click on the element and begin typing a name. Stuck trying to name your elements? Refer to our Bowtie Methodology Cheat Sheet.
Bowtie Tip: To pan around the diagram, click the arrow key in the top right corner, OR hold down your SHIFT key.
